JERUSALEM, Aug. 4 (Xinhua) -- Former NBA players Americans Tyler Bey and Robert Woodard joined Israeli Super League teams Hapoel Haifa and Hapoel Afula, respectively.
Haifa announced on Sunday the signing of Bey, a 26-year-old small forward, on a one-season contract.
Bey played college basketball with the Colorado Buffaloes, was selected in the 2020 NBA draft with the 36th overall pick by the Philadelphia 76ers, and played 18 NBA games with the Dallas Mavericks.
In 2022, he moved to Ironi Nes Ziona for one season, in which he was crowned as the Israeli Super League's top scorer, averaging 20.9 points per game.
Last season, he played for the Magnolia Hotshots of the Philippine Basketball Association league.
The 24-year-old Woodard, who can play in both power forward and small forward positions, was selected in the 2020 NBA draft with the 40th overall pick by the Memphis Grizzlies, after playing college basketball at Mississippi State. His NBA record includes 25 games with the Sacramento Kings.
