JAKARTA -- The Indonesian government has blocked the access to eight major online platforms including Yahoo, PayPal, and Dota as they have failed to register for licensing, an official said on Saturday.
Semuel Abrijani Pangerapan, director general of informatics application at the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, said in a written statement that five others blocked are Steam, Counter-Strike, Epic Games, Origin.com and Xandr.com. (Indonesia-Online-Platform)

LISBON -- Portugal is experiencing the worst drought as 67.9 percent of its territory was in severe drought, 28.4 percent in extreme drought and the remaining 3.7 percent in moderate drought in June, said the Portuguese Institute for Sea and Atmosphere on Saturday.
This is the driest year since the beginning of droughts registration in the country, which started in 1931, said the institute. (Portugal-Drought-Heat)

MANILA -- The Philippines reported 3,996 new COVID-19 infections on Saturday, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the Southeast Asian country to 3,772,468.
The Department of Health said the number of active cases rose to 33,509. One more patient died from COVID-19 complications, taking the coronavirus death toll to 60,719. (Philippines-COVID-Increase)

MOGADISHU -- The Somali National Army (SNA) and forces from the southwestern region on Saturday killed three al-Shabab terrorists in a joint offensive in the region, a local official said.
