DINALUPIHAN, Bataan, Feb.18 (PIA) -- 1Bataan Malasakit Dialysis Assistance Center opened Wednesday to cater to the needs of Dinalupihan and nearby towns.
Chalor Howell Icban, Special Assistance Program Coordinator of Bataan, explained that the facility will provide accessible medications for patients who used to go to Jose B. Lingad Memorial General Hospital in Pampanga.
"Medicines needed for their treatment will now be available in the dialysis assistance center thus reducing the COVID-19 exposure of patients. It will also cater to hospital bills incurred by dialysis patients at Dinalupihan District Hospital," he added.
The provincial government will assign staff from the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office to assist patients in need of financial assistance and guarantee letters for Manila hospitals such as the National Kidney and Transplant Institute and Philippine Heart Center.
For her part, Mayor Maria Angela Garcia thanked the capitol for supporting Dinalupihan in this project because it is a huge help for the locals as well as neighboring towns.
"We hope that this will help them prolong their lives and improve their quality of life through the help and assistance of the provincial government," she furthered.
