Koronadal City opens health monitoring and response command center

KORONADAL CITY, South Cotabato, June 3 (PIA) -- The City Government of Koronadal beefs up its response and contact tracing efforts through the establishment of the City Health Monitoring and Response Command Center.

Mayor Eliordo Ogena said the command center will use the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) recommended contact tracing application, Staysafe.ph.

Through the use of Staysafe.ph, health authorities can access the current health situation of residents with ease and immediately identify persons who may be manifesting symptoms of COVID-19 in the city.

All data gathered from the application will be directed to the portal. Once there's an identified potential and possible case of the virus, the information will be shared with the Barangay Health Emergency Response Team (BHERTs) to provide valuable medical assessment, guidance, advice and information to the patient.

The Health Monitoring and Response Command Center is situated at the 2nd floor of the City Health Office (CHO), near the City Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit (CESU) where the trackers are positioned.

"StaySafe.PH empowers the public in the fight against COVID-19 by enabling people to report their health condition and facilitate the Government in contact tracing. By aggregating all reports, StaySafe.PH enables the Government to immediately respond to peoples' needs and make informed and timely decisions to keep Filipinos safe in the midst of this pandemic," read the StaySafe.ph website.
