TACLOBAN CITY, Apr. 18 (PIA) -- Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board in Region 8 (LTFRB-8) has facilitated Libreng Sakay for Health Workers, Director Gualberto Gualberto disclosed during the PIA Panindugan Virtual Kapihan on April 17.
"All in all, there are 26 transportation units offering Libreng Sakay," Dir. Gualberto said.
He said that an aircon bus owned by the Davao Metro Shuttle Corp. ferry health workers from Dulag, Leyte to the DOH Regional Office and vice versa.
Gualberto added that seven units of eJeep of the Solartech Transportation Services Inc. serve health workers from Tacloban City hospitals and other establishments to respective residences and vice versa. Each of the seven units conduct two trips per day.
The Great Power Movers has 10 units helping in the Libreng Sakay from Ormoc Hospitals to respective residences and vice versa, with each unit making two trips per day.
Libreng Sakay is als being offered by JAC Motors private bus from Tunga, Leyte to DOH Regional Office and vice versa.
Finally, the Mahagnaw Corp. has four units eJeep plying from Tanauan, Leyte to Ace Hospital and City Hospital and vice versa, with each of the units conducting two trips each. (PIA-8)
