LUNGSOD NG BATANGAS, Marso 26 (PIA) --Ipinamamahagi na ng pamahalaang lungsod ang P20,000 financial assistance sa bawat barangay ng lungsod bilang karagdagang suporta upang matugunan ang mga pangangailangan sa harap ng ipinapatupad na enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) sa buong Luzon dahil sa banta ng coronavirus disease o COVID-19.
Ang financial assitance ay maaaring kuhanin ng mga punong barangay o barangay treasurer sa City Treasurer's Office (CTO).
Ipinamahagi na rin ng tanggapan ni Mayor Beverly Dimacuha ang mga bags of medical supplies para sa mga Barangay Health Emergency Response Teams (BHERT) sa 105 barangay na nasasakop ng lungsod. Kabilang sa mga medical supplies ipinamahagi ay thermal scanner, alcohol, face mask, at vitamins.
Samantala, 100 katao lamang ang pinapayagang makapasok sa mga palengke sa lungsod habang pinaghihintay sa isang tent ang susunod na batch upang maiwasan ang pagkumpol-kumpol ng mga tao bilang precautionary measures laban sa banta ng COVID-19.
Bago pumasok sa palengke, pinaglalagay muna ng alkohol sa mga kamay at pinapaalalahanan na mayroon lamang silang 30 minuto upang makapamili habang pinagbabawalang pumasok sa palengke ang mga buntis, may kasamang bata at may lagnat.
Mahigpit ding ipinapatupad ang 'No Face Mask, No Entry' policy.
Ipinababatid din sa lahat ng residente ng lungsod na simula ngayong araw, Marso 26, ang pamamalengke sa Market 1, 2 at 3 ay bubuksan lamang simula alas-2 ng umaga hanggang alas-12 ng tanghali upang mabigyan ng karagdagang oras ang mga tao na makapamalengke.
Sa huling update na inilabas ng Batangas PIO, nasa 11 ang kabuuang bilang ng COVID-19 confirmed cases sa buong lalawigan ng Batangas, 58 Persons Under Investigation (PUI) habang 3,125 naman ang Persons Under Monitoring (PUM). (CPGonzaga with report from Bhaby De Castro.)
