Ombudsman Conchita Carpio-Morales has junked the administrative and criminal charges filed against former Education secretary Jesli Lapus and five other Department of Education officials in connection with the alleged anomalous bidding on the fortified instant noodles in 2007 and 2009.
An earthquake measuring 5.2 on the Richter scale jolted Philippine Islands region Saturday night, the US Geological Survey said.
The epicentre had a depth of 8.50 km, reports Xinhua.
